It’s never too late to learn how to ride a bike, BikeWise have taught adults of all ages how to ride!BikeWise have a fantastic success rate in teaching beginners how to ride a bicycle. It really is never too late! For complete beginners, this 2 hour course gets you up and riding. In our experience, most people learn the basics (how to start, ride along and stop safely) in one session. Further improvements are dependent on practice. We usually recommend some self-practice before a follow up lesson (if required). We provide you with a suitable, quality bicycle and helmet. Cost: $150 + GST for 2 hours Duration: 2 hours
Many thanks for the session yesterday. It was exactly what I was seeking in arranging to have a session with an instructor. I wanted to gain confidence and to learn good bike habits before I got too entrenched in my own ways. Thanks again for the most informative and valuable session yesterday.

Firstly and again, I just want to thank you for providing a service like this and help me achieve something that I am waiting for a long time. Maybe if I had found a Brazilian "Patrick" I would had realized that dream before.
It is really amazing how simple it is and more than that, how easy it was for me quickly start riding alone. I had the moment where I just by my own started to ride a bicycle . Simply fantastic !!! Even though it was just a 2 hour-class, I am pretty aware that it is much more to do, at least practice a lot before any further challenges. So, next step is to buy a bike to start practicing. Like we talked, I will need some tips or "consulting". Whenever you have the links to send me, it would be good.

It gave me quite a lot of confidence and I am now practicing my starts and changing gears like a professional (oh well, that last bit’s slightly stretching the truth). I think George probably had to go and have a quiet beer after I left him. Perhaps I should employ him for a 10 week course so I can master hills and downhills and overcome fear of traffic, but in the meantime I am winding my merry way through all the parks and bike tracks in the local area with something like a bit of style (if still slightly wobbly).
Lois ![]() Lois / (67yrs) My husband recently gave me a present of a new Mountain bike – as I hadn’t ridden for many years I was feeling very insecure, apprehensive and extremely wobbly so rather than an experience we should be enjoying together it was causing many a volatile domestic argument. My daughter had recently completed a “Bikewise” course and suggested I should do the same – enter George – in a 2 hour course, with patience and humour, he built my confidence, taught me to start, stop, change gears and when to apply the brakes and how not to wobble into anybody or thing that got in my way! Now I am riding around our local streets and parks 3 – 4 days a week and thoroughly enjoying myself and next month we are looking forward to tackling the Otago railtrail in the South Island of New Zealand (150 km over 4 days) – the benefits of my course have been fantastic. ![]() Emma / (34yrs) I never had a bike as a kid and so have never learned to ride. But living in Sydney, I see more and more people on their bikes and it really appeals to me as a form of cheap and independent transport, which has the added bonus of keeping me fit.I was completely terrified when I first got on the bike but George put me at ease and made me feel very safe. The terror wore off within about five minutes and I was up and riding much quicker than I thought I would be. The lesson was really fun and I got to ride across grass and on the bike paths. My favourite part was tearing around the netball courts and doing skids! Riding was much more fun than I thought it would be and I feel a real sense of achievement at having finally learned to ride a bike. |
